BURNHAM LAKE SET TO OPEN ON BAGUIO DAY (SEPTEMBER 1, 2026)

After nearly a year of rehabilitation, Burnham Lake is scheduled to reopen to the public on September 1, 2026, in time for the celebration of Baguio City's Charter Day.

The lake has been undergoing the first phase of a major rehabilitation project since September 2025. The initiative, valued at more than ₱400 million, aims to restore the lake's condition, improve water quality, enhance its surroundings, and preserve one of Baguio City's most iconic landmarks for future generations.

The reopening is expected to welcome residents and visitors back to one of the city's most popular attractions, where activities such as boating and sightseeing have long been part of the Burnham Park experience.

The rehabilitation marks a significant step in protecting Burnham Lake while ensuring it remains a clean, safe, and enjoyable destination for everyone.
