JUST IN: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines NGCP reports that the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that hit Cebu on Tuesday night caused parts of Leyte, Samar, and Bohol to be cut off from the Cebu-Negros-Panay-Bohol grid.

Damage was confirmed at the Daanbantayan Substation and four 230kV transmission lines, while power plants in Cebu and Negros tripped, isolating a total of 641MW.

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake jolted Bogo, Cebu at 9:59 PM on Tuesday, according to Phivolcs. Aftershocks and damage are expected.
