We are pleased to share the inspiration behind our resort’s name, “Aranaar.”

The word Aranaar is known as a poetic Ilocano expression that reflects the beauty and warmth of the sunset sky. Though not formally recorded in traditional Ilocano dictionaries, it has been lovingly used by some Ilocano speakers and writers to describe the reddish glow that paints the horizon as the day ends — a moment of peace, reflection, and natural wonder.

In choosing Aranaar as our name, we wish to honor this poetic heritage and capture the serene spirit of the Ilocano coast — where the sun gently meets the sea and where every sunset tells a story.

May every guest who visits Aranaar Beach Resort feel the same calm, warmth, and beauty that the word itself embodies.
