Alam mo ba na ang rip current ay isa sa mga pangunahing sanhi ng pagkalunod sa mga dalampasigan? Ito ay isang malakas at makitid na agos ng tubig na humihila palabas ng dagat.

Kapag nahila ng rip current: • Manatiling kalmado at huwag mag-panic.

• Huwag lumangoy nang direkta pabalik sa pampang laban sa agos.
• Lumangoy nang pakaliwa o pakanan (parallel sa baybayin) upang makalabas sa agos.
• Kapag nakalabas na, saka dahan-dahang bumalik sa pampang.
• Kung napapagod, lumutang at humingi ng tulong.

Maging mas maingat sa mga lugar na may malalakas na alon at rip current, lalo na sa panahon ng habagat at masamang panahon.

Tandaan: Ang rip current ay karaniwang hindi ka hinihila pababa sa ilalim ng dagat—hinihila ka nito palayo sa pampang. Ang pinakamalaking panganib ay ang pagkapagod dahil sa pakikipaglaban sa agos.
