" FRIENDLY REMINDER TO ALL OUR CAR RENTERS "
When you rent an automatic transmission vehicle, please remember that you are not simply driving a go-kart around the mall. 😅
You are entrusted with a real vehicle—one with an engine, transmission, brakes, and other mechanical components that require proper handling and responsible driving.
We kindly ask all our renters to please understand and practice the proper way of handling an automatic transmission vehicle. This is simply a friendly reminder from the owners, because improper driving habits may lead to unnecessary wear, mechanical problems, and expenses in the long run.
🚘 TWO IMPORTANT HABITS TO REMEMBER
1. When parking the vehicle
When you are about to park, please do not immediately shift from Drive (D) to Park (P) as soon as you stop.
Instead:
Come to a complete stop → shift to Neutral (N) → engage the parking brake → then shift to Park (P).
This allows the parking brake to hold the vehicle's weight before the transmission is placed in Park. Manufacturer guidance also emphasizes setting the parking brake before shifting to P when parking.
2. When waiting at a long traffic stop
If you are stopped at a traffic light or in heavy traffic and expect to be stationary for a longer period, you may place the transmission in Neutral (N) while keeping your foot on the brake and remaining attentive.
Neutral disengages the transmission from driving power, and some manufacturer manuals specifically describe Neutral as appropriate for certain extended or brief stops with the engine idling.
However, for a normal short traffic-light stop, simply staying in D with the brake applied is also normal. Please always follow the specific instructions in the vehicle's owner's manual.
❤️ PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THE UNIT
Our rental cars are our investment and livelihood. Every renter who uses the vehicle has a responsibility to help keep it in good condition.
Please drive gently, avoid unnecessary hard acceleration, and most importantly, know how to properly operate an automatic transmission before renting the unit.
We trust you with our vehicle, so please treat it with the same care and respect you would give your own.
🙏 Drive safely. Drive responsibly. Take care of the unit.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
