Ang reason na nag K12 tayo is para gumaya sa ibang bansa at masabing di naiwan. Eh meron naman tayong sariling solution na dati pa. May TESDA na tayo.
Sana by 4th year highschool ka na may taga TESDA na papasok sa classrooms natin to guide those not planning to go to College and help them for skills training sa TESDA and connect them to employers when the training is done. Example: 6months training sa welding skill tapos 1 and a half year OJT with allowance, so 2 years na then declare na K12 na, bigyan ng Certificate.
Then lets just relabel, that TESDA is Philippine’s version of K12 para we can still say na may K12 na ang Pinas! Instead of calling it TESDA, call it K12 Program of the Philippines. Oh di ba? Di na masasabing naiwan tayo.
Sa gustong magCollege, let them proceed immediately after 4th year. Why? Time is Gold. We also need Nurses, Doctors, Engineers and more asap to improve the country. Why give them 2 years more? For the reason they can work after K12, which is not happening? Which is also not the student’s plan?
So damay damay yung gustong mag professional pinapatagal lang.
Regarding literacy or mathematics problem ng bansa, we dont need the 2 years additional to solve that kasi sa elementary naman yan tinuturo.
So its more on improvement of curriculum or teachiing technique or possibly hiring of more teachers to focus on that.
