A new collection of stories is ready to unfold.

Seven short films. Seven stories rooted in the lives of our Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and their organizations, told through the eyes of young filmmakers from Caraga.

Anchored in this year’s theme, “Tinig ng Lupang Malaya: Kwento at Aral-Agraryo, Butil na Pamana sa Kabataan,” these films celebrate our farmers' journeys and the lessons of agrarian reform for the next generation.

Join us for the Regional Screening and Judging of the PelikulAgraryo 2026 Short Film Entries, the Caraga leg of the DAR Central-Regional Film Festival, on October 14, 2026 (Wednesday) at Caraga State University-Main Campus, Ampayon, Butuan City.

DAR Caraga Region successfully conducted the Foundational Knowledge on DAR Core Competencies on October 6–8, 2026, aimed at strengthening the competencies, values, and professional effectiveness of its personnel in the delivery of quality public service.

The three-day learning activity focused on DAR’s core competencies: Delivering Service Excellence, Exemplifying Integrity, and Personal Effectiveness. Through interactive discussions, workshops, and group activities, participants were provided with opportunities to assess their current practices, deepen their understanding of the competencies, and identify concrete actions to further improve their performance in the workplace.

Regional Director, Atty. Merlita S. Capinpuyan, shared, "This training emphasized that excellence in public service goes beyond technical knowledge. It requires a strong commitment to integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, and responsiveness to the needs of agrarian reform beneficiaries and other stakeholders."

Personnel Administration Service (PAS) Director Hamidah G. G**o, JD, served as guest of honor for the training where she also shared her insights on the core competencies needed at the Department.

DAR Caraga Region marks another significant milestone in strengthening its leadership and commitment to public service through the Turn-Over Ceremony and Installation of DAR Caraga Officials, highlighting the reassignment of two Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers (PARPOs) II to their respective provincial offices.

PARPO II Jerry R. Villason, formerly assigned to DAR Provincial Office of Surigao del Sur, formally assumes leadership of DAR Surigao del Norte and the Province of Dinagat Islands, while OIC-PARPO II Ellen J. Torralba, J.D., formerly assigned to DAR Surigao del Norte and the Province of Dinagat Islands, takes the helm of DAR Surigao del Sur.

Regional Director Atty. Merlita S. Capinpuyan stated, “This leadership transition signifies not only a change in provincial assignments but also a renewed opportunity to strengthen and revitalize institutional collaboration, sustain organizational accomplishments, and advance the effective implementation of agrarian reform programs and services.”

As both officials embark on their new assignments, DAR Caraga expresses its confidence in their leadership, experience, and dedication to public service. Their respective provincial offices are encouraged to embrace this new chapter with unity, professionalism, and a shared commitment to excellence, building upon previous gains while pursuing greater opportunities for innovation and meaningful service delivery.
