People say, we should protect our peace.
But reality is, either:
(1) everyone will test you, pasadya man or hindi (which requires patience) or
(2) They might not be able to say what they really want to say, and could come out differently, for better or for worse (which requires clarity in communication)
And you can’t keep avoiding each and everyone of them, or awayin silang lahat.
We cannot control people, but we can control ourselves. What are things not worth reacting to? The ones that will steal our joy. And what are things that are worth noting? Things that will make us say, “That’s actually a very good point!” Not everything is a personal attack, but not everything is also worth taking in. Learning to filter these in real-time is the key to living in peace with everyone, as much as it depends on you, not them.
There’s a time to make peace, and a time to practice boundaries and walk away.
