To those who mock the ₱20 rice program, take a hard look at the reality faced by many of our fellow Filipinos. These are people who wait patiently, with hope, just to afford a few kilos that ease their daily burden. This program isn’t a joke it’s a lifeline. While you scoff and criticize, they’re simply trying to put food on the table for their families, maybe even for just two or three meals a day. If you can afford rice three times its price, good for you but don’t let your privilege blind you to their struggle. Not everything is about you. Mocking what sustains the poor isn’t wit, it’s cruelty.
