A Labour of Love

A year ago, we began toying with the idea of having our own little place to escape to from Manila. We chanced upon this little town where the people are unbelievably fantastic - it has been over a year now and it feels like home - not a vacation home.

We spent 3 months (starting June 2018) doing the math to be able to build the Domes - experimented with material and literally built the domes ourselves ON SITE ! We even braved Typhoon Usman (Christmas Eve !) in the middle of our construction site in a plastic Coleman tent. Those were an interesting few months - and we lived to tell the tale.

It has been a labour of love and the results are fantastic. Plenty of Math, serious precision and a lot of heart ache - the results are now worth EVERY bit.

Since we finished our first two domes in December 2018, it has always been our refuge - and our friends’. We decided to open up our place to AirBnB and we started our hosting journey May 1st 2019.
