Competing against 21 hotels and resorts from Cebu and Bohol, Ar-Ar showcased his expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, earning 2nd Runner-Up in the competition.

A Meeting of Culinary Minds: Our Nestlé Kitchen Takeover at Manuel’s Restaurant

There’s something special about Filipino food. It is familiar yet endlessly evolving—rooted in tradition, but always open to a new interpretation.

We recently brought this spirit to life at Manuel’s Restaurant as we welcomed Nestlé Philippines for a special Kitchen Takeover, bringing together two culinary talents for a celebration of flavors close to home.

At the heart of this collaboration were Nestlé Chef Ambassador Paul Samson and our very own Chef Orlando Santos, who joined forces to create a flavorful menu inspired by Filipino favorites we all know and love.

Our guests enjoyed a spread featuring Beef Salpicao, Sinuglaw, Kani Mango Salad, and other Filipino-inspired creations. Each dish brought familiar flavors to the table while giving both chefs the opportunity to add their own creativity and culinary perspective.

More than just a showcase of dishes, our Kitchen Takeover was a meeting of ideas, techniques, and shared passion for food. It was a chance for Chef Paul and Chef Orlando to exchange culinary expertise and explore how trusted ingredients can inspire fresh interpretations of beloved Filipino dishes.

For us at Cebu Parklane, collaborations like this are part of how we continue to celebrate the flavors of home while creating meaningful and memorable dining experiences for our guests.
