FRONT DESK CLERK, IMMEDIATE POSITION

Shifting Schedules: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am

Qualifications:
2 years solid year experience working front desk.
Strong administrative skills
Can communicate in English
Willing to take shifting schedules
Team player, looking for great attitude towards attending to guests.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome and greet guests as they arrive and thank them for staying when they check out.
Process all guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, room change and late check-out requests.
Collect and secure payment.
Count bank at the beginning and end of shift when assigned as cashier.
Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
File guest paperwork and documentation. Note on number of baggage and coordinate with bell boy for room assignments.
Coordinate closely with housekeeping for room readings.
Coordinate with appropriate staff for reservations and when guests are waiting for an available room.
Entertain guests who seek direction and information.
Speak using clear and professional language.
Answer phone with appropriate etiquette and entertain booking and reservations.
Experience in a hotel or restaurant, a plus!
Potential hire will have a phone interview. Please attach photo and note best time to call.

Background as an electrician, a plus.
May be cross trained as room attendant
Willing to take shifting schedules and overtime on weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays
Must be able to lift more than 20 kilos.
Willing to be trained and work in a team
Advantage to have a background in basic to intermediate plumbing.
Regular Tasks:
Re-grouting, tiling and cutting of tiles
Testing and installing wiring systems and equipment maintenance such as lighting, CCTV, basic Ethernet Wiring, TV, Cable Box, outlets, switches, junction boxes, vacuums, telephones
Monitor the electrical systems, tools &fixtures such as generator and circuit breaker
Monitor the delivery of water (as needed)
Change gaskets of faucets, toilets
Declogging toilets, drains
Painting and minor carpentry
Drilling and mounting
Aftercare clean up
Inventory for materials
Purchasing and canvassing for materials at hardware
Project cost and duration estimation
