Pisangan Bed & Breakfast The Pisangan Bed & Breakfast used to be a private vacation house and recently opened to the public as a bed and breakfast.

The house has a floor area of 320 sq.meters situated along the Seawall of Poblacion Cortes, Surigao del Sur ( check out Google.Earth for exact location). It is fully-furnished to suit a simple, yet, heart-warming experience amidst a fishing village. It has 2 upstair bedroom with veranda, a bar/ guestroom downstairs, 2 spacious restrooms,(The female restroom has a bathtub for a warm bubble bath af

ter a day in the sun) , huge utility kitchen, and entertainment area. The house is made by local hardwood: Magkuno, yakal, narra & red lawaan. Its architectural design maximizes the view of the Pacific and its fresh sea breeze lulls you to sleep. Yes, no airconditioning system is installed as it is unnecessary.

In 2011, I opened my small place in Cortes, SDS to the public and named it 'Pisangan Bed and Breakfast'. It was listed at AirBnB and got international inquiries and had Americans and local tourists as guests.
Since my childhood friend and caretaker passed away 2 years ago, the place is not in top shape anymore. It needs repainting and minor repairs...

Now that Laswitan gained national and international attention and the "HOT" place to be when weather got worse, I will restore this place into it's former glory and more! Abangan!😉😎😍

P.S. Cortes has a lot more to offer: a 5-7kms of coral beds in Sitio Kapandan is a Snorkeler's haven during summertime! And we have a Surfer's place in Brgy. Uba. And if u are an Extreme Hobbiest, conquer the gigantic waves during Amihan season just like the finale of the movie "Point Break"! Yes, with binoculars, u can see it from the veranda of my place. Hey, we have caves for spelunking too! And be childlike and spend a day gathering shells in the 2×3kms radius of Honasan that used to be my playground😊So, go ahead... have fun in Cortes!

Good day! It's the start of 'ber months ( Sept.,October, November,&December),yet, it feels like summertime in our beloved hometown.
