Hosting at Ellie's Tiny House has always been a labor of love. I pour my heart into keeping the place clean, safe, and welcoming for every family who chooses to stay with us. For me, hosting is a partnership built on trust and respect.
Recently, I had an experience with a guest who violated several house rules—bringing unauthorized visitors, ignoring our no-pet policy, consuming items from our Honesty Store without paying, leaving hurriedly in the middle of the night, blocking communication on Messenger, and not responding to any messages on the booking platform. This led to disagreements that could have easily been avoided with simple honesty.
This experience truly saddened me. This is our own home, a place we worked hard for and choose to share with others. All we ask is that guests read and follow the house rules. These rules aren’t just for us, they ensure fairness and comfort for everyone.
I’m not sharing this to shame anyone. I won’t name names or post personal details. I’m sharing this as a reminder and a sincere plea:
𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥.
𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠.
𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐨 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐲.
To our previous guests who’ve been very respectful and kind, I am deeply grateful.
To our future guests, if you’re planning to stay, please be open about your needs and respect the guidelines. Honesty goes a long way in making your stay smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free for both of us.
Thank you for supporting our small business and for helping us keep Ellie’s Tiny House a place of comfort, respect, and good memories. Let’s keep this community considerate and respectful.
