We allow a 𝟭𝟱-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 (𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟮:𝟭𝟱 𝗣𝗠) for guests leaving the area. After that, the fixed rate will automatically be 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁.

We don't really do the usual kind of promoting.

We won't tell you that we're the best, because we know we're not.
We won't say "superb" or "maganda dito" just for the sake of it. Experiences are personal, and each of us carries different standards. Ayaw naming pangunahan kung ano ang magiging tingin ninyo.

What we will do is tell you what you need to know, the good, the possibly not-so-good, and even the things we can't control but might happen.

Kapag tinanong kung mabato ba, we'll say yes, and show you photos or videos. Kasi iba-iba ang "mabato" sa bawat tao. We'd rather underpromise and let you discover more, than say too much and fall short.

You might also notice, we've never labeled this place as "IG-worthy." Not because it isn't, but because beauty is subjective. What feels special to us might feel simple and "so-so" to someone else.

So hearing that word, from you, our guests, not once but multiple times this week, it honestly means a lot. We know we're not there yet based on the usual definition of IG-worthy.

Pero nakakatuwa to be seen and appreciated like this. Nakaka-overwhelm in the best way.

What's New at balibali?

1. Long tables
We bought 2 pcs of Lifetime tables since magreretire na ang aming current tables (or di naman magreretire totally, magiging back-up or secondary table na lang siya para sa guests na need ng maraming patungan ng gamit. Pasira na din kasi so nakakahiya na ding ipagamit. We'll repurpose that soon and gagawan ng new table top. Busy lang mga gagawa so bumili na lang kami ng bago while dipa maasikaso.

2. Videoke 😍
We are renting it out for P1000/day (check-in to check-out). If 2 nights kayo, P1800.

3. Badminton Play Set (2 sets of rackets and shuttlecocks. 1 portable net
We are renting it out for P100/set/hour.

4. Uling/ Souvenir Shirts/ Buko (seasonal)/ minsan gumagawa na din sila ng yelo sa ref.
May tinda ang staff if you'd like to buy and support their side hustle. ❤️

5. May mga water activities din sa area for those na gustong magtry. You can approach sila ate para ma-assist nila kayo and matawag nila ang provider if gusto niyong i-avail.

6. Colibra Island. This is the highlight for some guests na looking into a good swimming spot na malalim and white sand pa rin. Make sure to look for videos and posts sa tiktok to appreciate. Sabihan lang ang staff if gustong mag-island para ma-schedule nila ang inyong trip. And anong oras ninyo bet. We usually suggest early morning para di mainit.

This is us… maliit lang and nothing fancy in here. Only 2 AC beachfront huts, thoughtfully spaced so you can enjoy more privacy and comfort.

We didn't fill the property with too many rentals, no 3rd party tent pitching or day tour as well.

It is just you, and your family while relaxing by the beach without the usual crowd.

May mga bakasyon na dapat puno ng activities para maenjoy ng lahat. Yung mapipilitan kang punan 'yung oras ninyo ng mga water activities, island hopping, videoke, games, bonfire, at kung anu-ano pa para masabing sulit at nag-enjoy. Kasi mas uncomfortable kapag nag-stay lang sa cottage, or sa resort. Mabuburyo ka kasi magkakapalit na kayo ng mukha ng nasa tabing cottage, o kaya parang hindi makapagrelax kasi parang madaming nakatingin o nagmamasid. Gusto mong tumunganga sana, magnilay-nilay, umidlip sa duyan, pero worried ka din na sinasarili mo na ang espasyo na para dapat sa lahat ng guests ng resort. There's this constant need of being mindful.

Magluluto ka nalang ng kakainin mo, iisipin mo pang kailangan mong magmadali kasi baka may susunod nang magluluto. Gusto mong damihan ang ihahanda kaso baka "overstaying" ka na sa common kitchen at may nakasimangot nang susunod sa aalisan mo.

That's the kind of vacation we try to move away from. If cowboy and pwede sa lahat and bardagulan and unahan, that's a skill and advantage din minsan. But if you just want to breathe and own the place for a while, we try our best to give you that

That's why we try to offer an exclusive stay for small families or groups, or try to limit occupants ng bawat kubo kapag hindi kayo nakaexclusive. Sure, we lost a lot of bookings along the way. Madami din nag-inquire ng tent pitching, open cottage or papag lang for day tour, etc. We can do that for more income. But that would be a "restless" kind of experience para sa iba. Having to share almost everything is sometimes stressful din lalo kung pumunta ka sa lugar para magrelax at magkaron ng kaunting katahimikan at privacy.

We've recently observed guests who chose not to rent a videoke, not to go to Colibra Island, not to take any water activities. Usual lang ang gusto. Tumunganga, kaunting music, kaunting inom, madaming kwento, magkayaks or magtampisaw, makipagbonding sa kids, o ilublob lang ang mga paa sa buhangin habang nagpi-people watching o nagkakape.

Sometimes we worry na baka bored sila. So we suggest some activities or places to visit. Pero we're told na gusto lang nilang tumunganga at magrelax...and they are already getting that.

And we get it now.

Hindi lahat naghahanap ng ingay.
Hindi lahat naghahanap ng schedule.

At kung ikaw yung tipo ng taong gusto lang huminga at magpahinga nang walang pressure—maybe this space is for you.

Kung iba naman ang trip mo—mas active, mas lively—that's perfectly okay too. Ang mahalaga, you spend your time in a way that feels right for you.

Dito sa balibali, we simply try to hold space for a slower kind of stay.
Yung tahimik, pero buo.
Yung simple, pero sapat.

And we're grateful that we continue to attract guests who understand that—and choose it.
