π NATIONAL MUSEUM IN DAVAO REOPENS.
The National Museum of the PhilippinesβDavao (NMP-Davao) officially reopens its doors to the public on Sunday, January 11, 2026, ending the three-month closure imposed after the powerful October 2025 doublet earthquake, which raised safety concerns at the facility.
The museum officially opened on December 1, 2024, becoming the fourth* component National Museum in Mindanao.
Since then, it has played a significant role in bringing national collections closer to communities in the southern Philippines while highlighting local narratives and histories. | via RGP, SunStar Davao
