“When I go to General Luna, Siargao, is my first pick for accommodation (when in strict budget but not compromising non-negotiables).

Why? Aside from the carousel post above:

- Great location
- When I book a place, my priority is clean and comfy bed and pillows! And Matcha does not disappoint!
- Peaceful hostel (I like a peaceful place to sleep in, as a light sleeper)
- Friendly staff (and they remember returning guests!) and you just feel you're part of a community
- They have a generator as back up and have wi-fi
- They can help you too if you have no idea on where to go or what to do in the island
- Free towel
