SIARELCO informs all Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) that President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has declared a State of National Energy Emergency through Executive Order No. 110.
This declaration was issued due to global fuel supply uncertainties, particularly arising from ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, which may affect the countryβs power generation and electricity supply.

βͺοΈ Heightened risk to power supply
The country may face challenges in maintaining stable fuel and electricity supply.
βͺοΈ Possible increase in electricity rates
Higher fuel costs may lead to increased generation charges.
βͺοΈ Government intervention measures
The government may implement actions such as managing fuel reserves, stabilizing prices, and supporting affected sectors.
βͺοΈ Effective for one (1) year
The declaration is in effect immediately and will remain for one year unless lifted or extended.

In light of this situation, SIARELCO encourages everyone to practice responsible energy use:

β’ Use energy-efficient lighting and devices
β’ Shift high-energy activities to off-peak hours

β’ Avoid simultaneous use of high-wattage appliances
