Official Statement Regarding February 14–15 Incident
Hillside Resort Siargao built and operated by Wabex Corporation 2019 was at the time of the incident in lawful operational control of the premises with guards and staff.
At the evening at 6 PM, the resort experienced an unexpected power interruption. After verifying with Siarelco, it was confirmed that the main breaker, located outside the resort had been manually shut off.
Following this, unauthorized individuals entered the premise, which temporarily disrupted normal operations and caused our employees and security personnel to leave the property.
Approximately 1 hour later security personnel attempted to return to their assigned posts. It was only at this point that the partial video recording now circulating online began.
The dispute is rooted in the issue that one of the female shareholders is trying to register Hillside under a new business name with sole proprietorship ownership under the name Jungle Nest Resort.
This matter is currently subject to ongoing legal proceedings, and the corporation remains fully compliant with all court orders and directives.
We urge the public to rely only on verified information and not on selective or partial accounts of the incident.
