For 7 remarkable years, Rhensell Mae Macumao has been a part of SunCity Suites family. She began her journey as a Banquet On-call Waiter, serving in that role for 2 years. During this time, she demonstrated great potential, which led to her being hired as a regular staff. She then took on the roles of Cashier, Barista, and Waiter at Caffe Firenzo, where she dedicated 5 years of service, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the company.
As part of the companyโs policy to cross-train employees in the F&B department, Rhensell was rotated to the Banquet Department. In this new role, she was able to apply her skills and experience as a waiter. She found the adjustment fairly easy because she had previously worked at Caffe, which helped her adapt quickly to the different environment. After gaining valuable experience during the 6 months in the Banquet Department, she was transferred to Caffe Firenzo as a Regular Staff. This rotation not only broadened her skill set but also increased her confidence in handling diverse responsibilities within the company.
Transferring her to Caffe as Regular Breakfast Staff was a tough decision for her to make because of the work hours that can affect her time to balance work & family. Rhensell had 2 children, and one of whom was still in school. Before accepting the position offered by management, she made sure that as a mother she could fulfill both her responsibilities at work and at home. Fortunately, with the support of her parents, she overcome it with determination and resilience.
Last September, she was awarded Employee of the Month. This recognition serves as a clear testament to her qualities as a hardworking, dedicated, and dependable employee.
When she asked what keeps her at SunCity Suites, Rhensell cites the warm and friendly work environment and supportive management. One of her favorite part about working at SunCity Suites are the owner's generosity and the opportunities for growth and development.
Looking ahead, Rhensell hopes to continue delivering excellent service, advancing her career, and building a stable future for her family.
She finds inspiration in Romans 8:18, "The trials of today will not last forever; God is turning your pain into purpose and your struggles into testimonies."
