Castle Chateau Hotel
Original name: Castillo de Don Juan Ledesma
A heritage house located at Bonifacio Drive, Iloilo City was built in 1930. A two-story building with a basement. The building was occupied by the Japanese army during the 2nd World War. After the war, the house was again used by the U.S. Army as its headquarters. In 1991, it was transformed into a pension house named “Castle Pension House”. In 1994, the interior was renovated and thereafter renamed to “The Castle Hotel”. Afterward, the business expanded when a five-story building and two swimming pools were constructed beside it and again renamed it to “The New Castle Hotel”, however, it was thereafter converted into an English-Language School for Koreans called “JINSO”. Recently, the property is reverted into its previous utilization as a hotel named “Castle Chateau Hotel”. It is composed of a 5-story Hotel Building, a 3-story Business Building (occupied by different tenant-office), a Poolside Bar and 2-swimming pools. The hotel accommodation will surely be opened when the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.
