BOOKed: Rent and Read, your little town book rental corner.
BOOK RENTAL GUIDELINES:
These guidelines are set to provide a safety net for the rental of books, and to foster responsibility and accountability among borrowers while they are in possession of these resources.
By renting a book, the borrower agrees to the following terms:
1. Rental fee per book: PhP30.00. You can rent any one book for a period of seven (7) days.
2. First individual to comment "Mine" under the book teaser will be prioritized, or he/she can directly message BOOKed to reserve his/her book. One person is allowed to rent a maximum of two (2) books for one regular period. The borrower is not allowed to rent another book until the first borrowed book/s is/are returned.
3. The borrower shall present a means of identification and leave his/her contact information in the Borrower's Logbook upon renting to serve as a means of communication for reminders and updates. Contact details shall be kept confidential by BOOKed.
4. If the borrower is unable to return the book on set due date, the borrower will be charged PhP5.00 for every day after until the book is returned.
5. If the delay in the return of the book is caused by BOOKed, no extra fees will be charged against the borrower.
6. In case of loss of or new (irreparable) damage/s on the book while under the borrower's care, he/she shall:
a. Pay 90% of the current price of the book in the market if the book was a new copy;
b. Pay 70% of the current market price if the book was initially purchased as a second-hand item (pre-loved buy); OR
c. Replace the book with another copy in good condition.
7. BOOKed reserves the right to disclose borrower's information to the public IF AND ONLY IF the latter does not abide by these guidelines, shows irresponsible behavior, and refuses accountability despite sufficient and proper communication.
8. The borrower is expected to treat and handle the books he/she rented with care and respect at all times. He/she is also STRONGLY ADVISED NOT TO LEND the rented books to others as he/she is solely accountable for the rented books.
