To all our valued guests planning to visit Chateau by the Sea, please be advised that road closures and traffic rerouting will be implemented on August 9, 2026 due to the IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu City event.

We encourage everyone to plan your trip ahead and allow extra travel time to avoid delays. Please stay updated with the official traffic advisories for the latest road closure and alternate route information.

IRON MAN TRAFFIC ADVISORY 2026 (NEW Updated post for Punta Engaño Road)
FULL ROAD CLOSURE
August 9, 2026 (Sunday)
4:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Affected Roads:
• Roads from Mactan Junction all the way to Mangal, Punta Engaño.
• Roads from Mactan Junction towards Marigondon, all the way to the Panas–Cordova–Lapu-Lapu boundary.
• Roads from Mactan Newtown Boulevard to Mactan Junction (Traffic Light) towards Marigondon, continuing down to Suba-Panas and to Lapu-Lapu City.
• Cordova boundary for the BIKE LEG from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
• Roads from Mactan Newtown to Punta Engaño for the RUN LEG from 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Onward
• All roads that intersect and cross these routes will also be affected.
Public Advisory:
✅ All motorists, especially those with scheduled flights, are advised to leave as early as possible before the road closure begins at 4:00 AM.
✅ All motorists are advised to use any available alternate routes during the event.
