Episode 4: Church = Family
Dakilang Biyaya
9th Anniversary Celebration
Before this overnight excursion, I thought I knew what a Church felt like.
Somewhere between the shared meals, the laughter in every session, the prayers, the conversations, and the quiet moments of simply being together, I was reminded that Church has never just been a place you attend. It’s a family you belong to.
In a world that celebrates bigger crowds, I’ve come to realize that I’d rather be in a small Church where I am known, loved, prayed for, and encouraged than to sit in a stadium full of people and feel like a ghost.
These past few days with this guest Church has shown me something beautiful. They didn’t just preach Christ- they reflected Him. In the way they welcomed people, served one another, carried each other’s burdens, and celebrated every little victory together, I caught a glimpse of what the early Church must have looked like.
That is what Church has always been about. Church = family.
Not impressive buildings. Not overflowing attendance. But discipleship.
Just ordinary people, transformed by an extraordinary Savior, choosing to love as a family.
As you celebrate 9 years of God’s faithfulness, thank you for reminding me that the strength of a church isn’t found in its size, but in its willingness to live as one body under one Head- Jesus Christ.
This is what a Church should be.
A family where no one walks alone.
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together… but exhorting one another.” - Hebrews 10:24-25 (KJV)
