KUMAKAUNTING ISDA SA PILIPINAS 🐟🐠

Dahil sa mapaminsalang pangingisda gaya ng trawling at mas mataas na demand, nag-aalala ang ocean conservationists sa pagkaunti ng mga isda sa karagatan ng Pilipinas.

Sinisira kasi ng destructive fishing maging ang tirahan ng mga isda at ibang marine life. Sa buong mundo, kalahati ng coral reefs ang naglaho na.

Kaya malaki ang pag-asa para sa mga lugar na binabantayan ang malawak na marine biodiversity, gaya ng Verde Island Passage sa Pilipinas.

Sa one-on-one interview kasama si Raphael Bosano sa lugar na ito, sinabi ng kilalang marine biologist at oceanographer na si Sylvia Earle na pribilehiyo mag-alaga sa isang “hope spot” gaya ng Verde Island Passage na kung maprotektahan ay makatutulong maibalik ang ocean health sa mundo.

Ani Earle, dapat igiit ng kabataan ngayon na huwag pabayaang mapinsala ang mga anyong-tubig na mamanahin nila.
