Looking Forward to Special Moments at Soluna Serenity

My wife and I are counting down the days until we return to our little paradise Soluna Serenity. It’s not just a place; it’s a feeling, a retreat where we can slow down and truly appreciate life. It is a home, away from home.

Mornings here are pure magic—waking up to the soft sounds of ocean waves, the gentle calls of birds greeting the day, and the first golden rays of sunlight stretching across the sky. Afternoons bring warmth, laughter, and time well spent with family, with the beach just steps away, inviting us to sink our feet into the sand and let the sea breeze refresh our souls.

And then come the evenings, with breathtaking sunsets painting the horizon in shades of gold and crimson. The sound of the waves remains a constant lullaby, blending with the distant calls of seabirds, as we sit back, reflect, and feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

There’s nothing quite like the peace, beauty, and love we find here. We can’t wait to return, to embrace the serenity, and to make even more unforgettable memories.

It is some time since last post and we are sorry for that. We are happy to announce that this site has now the correct name, after several attempts to change the name.
We are looking forward to again visit our paradise this coming June/July, and while we are waiting we are watching pictures and videos made from earlier trips. Like this photo, made from our backyard a wonderful evening.

It was not THAT easy to rename here on Facebook. We made at least 5 requests for a name change on this site, but still nothing.
So all of you.. please have patience. It seems like we need to change the name, word by word...

We are rebranding! New name is Soluna Serenity.

After much thought and reflection, we've decided to change the name of our beloved retreat from FlipFlop Beach Residence to Soluna Serenity. This shift represents more than just a new name—it reflects the true spirit of what our tropical haven has become.
When we originally named our getaway FlipFlop Beach Residence, we wanted something lighthearted, fun, and reflective of the carefree, beachside lifestyle. Over time, however, we realized that our retreat had evolved into something much deeper and more meaningful. It's not just a place for vacation, but a space for peace, reflection, and connection with nature.
Why Soluna Serenity?
🌞 "Soluna" combines two powerful forces of nature—the sun (sol) and the moon (luna)—symbolizing balance and harmony. Here at our retreat, the sun rises over the crystal-clear waters of Leyte Bay, filling our mornings with warmth and light, while the moon casts a serene glow over the beach at night. This connection to the rhythms of nature is at the heart of what we offer: a peaceful, balanced escape from the fast-paced world.
🌙 "Serenity" speaks to the calm and tranquility that defines this place. Far from mass tourism and city noise, Soluna Serenity offers an experience where time slows down, and you can truly unwind in a natural paradise. Whether it’s the soothing sound of the waves, the whispering of coconut palms, or the peaceful solitude of the long stretches of white sand, everything here is designed to help you find your inner peace.
Our retreat is more than just a beachside escape—it's a space where the simplicity of life off-grid meets the beauty of nature in its purest form. We wanted a name that captured this unique blend of elements, and Soluna Serenity does just that.
As we continue to welcome friends, family, and guests to our peaceful hideaway, we hope Soluna Serenity reflects the deep connection we feel with the land and the experiences we want to share with you. It's still the same tranquil place you love, just with a name that better reflects its essence.

It has been a long time since anything got posted here. It has been different reasons for that, but work work work is the main reason.
I (Kay) have to admit, that the name we gave to our place, has not appealed too much to me. It did live up to the name of Flip Flop, but as I have experienced the last times visiting the place, was not the big amount of flip flops everywhere, but the fact that my flip flops always was taken by someone. And God knows why they were taking my flip flops.. when my foot is A LOT bigger than theirs.
Anyway. I have lately been working different things. Not only did I do my job at school, but I also have been occupied working at my attic. And in addition to that, this paradise of ours have been in my head.. wondering what next to do.
What I have decided, is that our paradise will be renamed. As I told, this existing name does not appeal to me. There will be a name, which addresses the place more, like the paradise it is.
So as for now, this is just a "warning" telling something will happen. When everything is processed and ready, then it will be posted in every channel we have for this property.

After three years of absence from our paradise then I (Kay) was able to take the trip and could spend four wonderful weeks at our beach house. During those weeks I made LOTS of video footage. Most of that videos I gonna upload at YouTube as a series called "Tito Kay - Living the Off Grid Life in Philippines".
