Ever noticed how birds seem extra vocal in the early morning?

This natural phenomenon is known as the dawn chorus. During the cooler, quieter hours after sunrise, bird songs can travel farther, making it the perfect time for birds to communicate, establish territory, and attract potential mates.

What may sound like a beautiful morning soundtrack is actually an important part of bird behavior and communication. 🎶

What's the first bird you usually hear in the morning? Let us know in the comments below!

📍 Visit APA Wildlife to learn more about the fascinating behaviors of wildlife and discover the amazing adaptations that help animals thrive in nature.

The rainy season brings more cloudy days, which our Albino Carabao can certainly appreciate. 🌧️

Did you know? The carabao is the Philippines’ national animal, and our albino carabao is a rare variation of the Philippine water buffalo. Because it lacks melanin, it is more sensitive to direct sunlight and prefers spending time in the shade, cooling off in mud, and enjoying the rainy season. Each animal has its own unique needs, which is why proper care and conservation matter so much. 💚

Have you spotted our albino carabao during your visit to APA?

Meaningful bonds are formed with tender care ❤️

Ann, our newest volunteer guide, is here to tell us of her meaningful bond with APA's resident Holstein Jersey Cow, Baba!

For the safety and comfort of both our animals and guests, animals may only be petted with the permission of our tour guides and under trained supervision.

The last three months have been full of life at APA 🌿📸
From March to May, we’ve shared countless moments with visitors who made every day worth remembering. Here’s a look back at some of those memories 💚

Today, on World Croc Day, we celebrate the incredible crocodilians that have survived for millions of years and continue to play an important role in healthy ecosystems.

In the Philippines, the critically endangered Philippine crocodile remains one of the rarest crocodile species in the world. Conservation efforts led by local communities, conservation groups, and government agencies continue to give this remarkable species a fighting chance.

By learning about crocodiles and supporting wildlife conservation, we help protect not only these ancient reptiles but also the freshwater habitats they call home.

🐢 For every hatchling that reaches the sea, there is hope.

This World Sea Turtle Day, we celebrate sea turtles and the global efforts to protect them. From safeguarding nesting beaches and reducing plastic pollution to promoting responsible fishing practices.
At APA Wildlife, we introduce visitors to wildlife conservation in a meaningful way, helping guests understand the role of animals in keeping ecosystems in balance. Through education and collective action, we can help ensure that ocean travelers like sea turtles continue their journey for generations to come.

Learn more about sea turtle conservation through the DENR Biodiversity Management Bureau – Pawikan Conservation Program.
