We, at THE PHILIPPINE COSTUME MUSEUM pledge to support our frontliners in their battle against COVID 19.

As case rises to more than 4,000, we are taking the initiative to do something. Our physical store lies just 50 meters away from Ospital ng Makati and we are quiet witnesses of how our country copes hardly with the highly contagious disease.

We can not do it alone, we need your help! All donations will be used to buy raw materials needed to make PPEs or Personal Protective Equipments for our frontliners.

Let us act as one, help us spread the word.

10 APRIL | Good Friday

Good Friday is a day for somber reflection.

Today, Christians are commemorating Jesus' crucifixion without the solemn church services or emotional processions of past years, marking Good Friday in a world locked down by the coronavirus pandemic.

In spite of staying at home, may we never forget the power of the cross , the sacrifice on Calvary and the miracle of Christ’s resurrection.

May his teachings of great human values be the guiding light in this tough time to fight with COVID-19.

Have a significant Good Friday!

9 APRIL | Araw ng Kagitingan

Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

Amid the threat of COVID-19, we, the Filipino people recognize a new breed of unsung heroes who ceaselessly work to keep society running.

Every year for Araw ng Kagitingan, we commemorate the Filipinos who placed country above self during the Battle of Bataan. May we always be reminded to embody the values of courage, self-sacrifice, and love of country, especially now in the midst of the global COVID-19 crisis.

We are fully aware of RA 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines which prohibits the usage of flag as a costume, however, we find it as the best symbolism to all the modern Filipino heroes such as doctors, nurses, soldiers and all other frontliners behind the masks who works as our country continues to battle with COVID-19.

As Araw ng Kagitingan coincides with Maundy Thursday, let us pray for the safety of our country, the Filipinos especially our frontliners.
