My friends and family, the news about the incoming Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) is worrisome. It’s said to be incredibly powerful, and many of our kababayans, especially in Northern and Central Luzon, are right in its path.
In times like this, our faith is our strongest refuge. I am humbly asking everyone who sees this to please stop for just one minute and join us in prayer. Let's storm the heavens together for our nation's safety. 🙏
A PRAYER FOR THE PHILIPPINES
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Almighty Father, we come to you with humble and anxious hearts, placing our beloved Philippines under Your loving care. As this powerful typhoon approaches our shores, we place all our trust in Your divine mercy.
We pray for the safety of every family. Protect the vulnerable: the children, the elderly, the sick, and those who are alone. Shield them from all harm.
Guide and strengthen our first responders, our LGU officials, our soldiers, and all volunteers who are preparing to help. Give them courage and keep them safe.
We ask You, Lord, to have mercy. We pray that You calm the winds, lessen the rains, and guide this storm away from our land, if it is Your will. Deliver us from all harm and danger.
We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God. We ask you, Mary, Mother of Perpetual Help, to spread your mantle of love and protection over our islands.
We call on the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in this time of peril. San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod, pray for your people. St. Jude, patron of impossible causes, we ask for your help. St. Medard, patron against bad weather, intercede for us. All Holy Angels and Saints, pray for our protection.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
