The settlement was conducted on February 12, 2026, at H103Bde, Kampo Ranao in Marawi City.โฃ

The initiative further strengthened efforts to advance peace, reconciliation, and stability in the province. It emphasized the significance of strong cooperation between local leaders and civil-military sectors in resolving conflicts through dialogue and culturally grounded peacebuilding methods.โฃ

Mayor Sumandar commended the unified efforts of the military, local government units, and community elders, noting that strong leadership and solidarity are crucial in preventing the recurrence of clan disputes.โฃ

He highlighted that the success of the mediation affirms that lasting peace can be achieved when government officials, security forces, and communities work hand in hand. He also reiterated LMPโ€“LDSโ€™s continued support for initiatives that uphold harmony, reconciliation, and good governance across Lanao del Sur.โฃ

Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Dela Rosa stressed that addressing rido is vital to sustaining peace and fostering development in the province. He reaffirmed the Philippine Armyโ€™s commitment, through the 103rd Brigade, to support local governments, traditional leaders, and stakeholders in promoting peaceful and non-violent conflict resolution.โฃ

The meeting primarily tackled the current peace and order situation in the province. The 103rd Infantry Brigade reported on the formation of a Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and a Technical Working Group (TWG) under Task Force ELAC, as well as progress on the operationalization of a halfway house. The 101st Infantry Brigade delivered general security updates, while the Lanao del Sur Provincial Peace and Order Office (LDSPPO) presented developments on local security conditions.โฃ

The Municipal Interior and Local Government Office of Lanao del Sur (MILG-LDS) submitted the approved Provincial Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan and provided updates on its encoding through the POPS-PCMS. Additional reports were also shared by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the Teach Peace Build Peace Movement (TPBPM).โฃ

Regarding anti-drug initiatives, PADAC received updates from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and LDSPPO on the drug situation in the province, highlighting ongoing efforts and interventions to address illegal drug activities.โฃ
