Some of the most important lessons at Villa Carmen are learned underwater, rain or shine.

This week, our pool welcomed a group of divers from EC Structural Composites, Inc., completing their training with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. Between equipment checks, buoyancy drills and open water preparation, the group worked steadily through each stage of certification, undeterred by shifting weather over the course of the sessions.

Villa Carmen's pool facilities are built for more than leisure. They serve as a training ground for divers preparing to explore the waters surrounding Corregidor Island and beyond, waters that hold their own history beneath the surface.

We are glad to have played a part in this training and look forward to welcoming more groups working toward their certification.

Villa Carmen Pools & Beach is pleased to introduce a new addition to our lineup of historical tours: a guided visit to the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant in Morong, Bataan.

Completed in the early 1980s, the plant remains one of the most significant and debated structures in Philippine history, a facility built for a purpose it never fulfilled, now standing as a monument to a different chapter of the nation’s story. Guests are guided through its control rooms and reactor building, gaining insight into the engineering, the era and the decisions that shaped its fate.

This tour complements our Corregidor Island experience, offering guests a fuller view of Bataan’s layered history, from wartime defense to Cold War era ambition.

A Historic Visit to Corregidor Island

Villa Carmen Pools and Beach was honored to support TIEZA during the recent visit of U.S. Ambassador Lee Lipton and the delegation from the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines to Corregidor Island.

Our team had the privilege of providing a guided historical tour, sharing the stories and significance of one of the Philippines’ most important World War II landmarks. It was a meaningful opportunity to highlight the enduring legacy of the American and Filipino servicemen who stood together in defense of freedom.

We were also pleased to provide catering for the delegation throughout their visit, extending the warm hospitality that Villa Carmen is proud to offer every guest.

Visits such as these reinforce the importance of preserving Corregidor’s history while making it accessible to future generations. We are grateful to TIEZA and the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines for entrusting us to be part of this memorable occasion.

Better days are coming.

As the season begins to change, the shoreline at Villa Carmen is changing with it. More sand is slowly returning to the beach, the sea is settling, and the days are beginning to feel a little brighter.

Around the resort, we are growing too. More rooms are becoming available, more spaces are being improved, and little by little, Villa Carmen continues to become the place we have always imagined it could be.

There is still more work ahead and much more we want to build, improve, and share with you.

But for now, we are enjoying the calm water, the returning sand, quiet afternoons by the pool, and sunsets that remind us that every season brings something new.

Better days, more rooms, more memories, and more reasons to come back.
