Our nanay’s homemade tocino, our family’s personal favorite since 2000. All natural, no preservatives, no food color and most importantly, tasty 😋
Here’s my nanay’s cooking suggestion to achieve the juiciness and tenderness consistency:
1. Heat the pan in medium-high flame
2. Pour the whole bag of tocino into heated pan, including the juice, do not throw the juice, I REPEAT DO NOT THROW THE JUICE! Then reduce the flame to medium-low flame
3. Cover it until it cooks for about 10 mins or until the juice almost gets dried out (this way the natural meat fats will come out)
4. Flip tocino until it burned a little bit just like in the photo
Pro tip: Toss some rice where the tocino was cooked 😌 you’re welcome! 😋
