Happy World Octopus Day from Magic Resorts! 💙

If you’ve ever spotted an octopus on a dive, you know how it goes. You turn your head for two seconds to call your buddy over, point excitedly at the spot… and suddenly, there’s nothing there. No octopus. No evidence. Just you, trying to convince your buddy you weren’t imagining things! 🤿

Masters of camouflage and extraordniray escape artists, octopuses have a real talent for making divers question their own eyes.
They have proven many times that even with us around, they are often the smartest on the reef 😄

Keep those eyes peeled. You never know who’s hiding in the reef… or who’s about to disappear before your buddy gets there! 👀

The green sea turtles are pretty good at stealing the show too. 💚

And at Magic Island, you don’t even have to go far to meet them. Our house reef is regularly visited by green sea turtles, and you may spot them cruising over the reef, grazing on the corals, or taking a well-earned rest.

Sometimes they appear just as you’re getting into the water, sometimes they quietly join you during the dive. And when one decides to stick around for a while, it’s hard not to stop and watch.

Sardines, turtles and a beautiful house reef… not a bad combination! 🌊🐢
