SILOYS, CEBU’S ENDEMIC BIRDS, NO LONGER ENDANGERED

LOOK: The International Union for Conservation of Nature has upgraded the population count of Black Shama, a species of birds endemic in Cebu, from Endangered to Least Concerned, the Philippines Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, Inc. announces. This means sightings of this elusive and threatened birds have increased.

Siloys were previously considered endangered species due to continuous destruction of their natural habitats.
