Eve’s Kiosk Dive Resort History
Established 1979 as a simple Nipa Hut coffee shop and rest stop for both transient guests and scuba divers, Eve’s Kiosk solely owned by Filipina entrepreneur Evelyn Abenido Malig-on has been serving corn coffee to locals and foreign visitors. Eve’s Kiosk is situated in Panagsama Beach Basdiot which is conveniently in front of Tañon Strait that is world renowned fo
r its abundance of colorful corals and vast kinds of species of fishes’ present including the occasional Thresher Shark and Whale Shark. As the years passed, Eve saw the tourists need for more food, so it developed into a restaurant; Further, the tourist attractions increased the number of visitors each year so there was another demand for a place to stay for customers that were mainly diving so a few nipa rooms were built and was supposed to be named “Mabuhay Accommodation” but the name was retracted after because of DTI Regulations. The main attractions were Pescador Island, White Sand Beach, Turtle Point and Sardine Run. Eve did few renovations and improvements throughout the years that the simple kiosk/coffee shop first turned into a two-storey bamboo accommodation, then became what is presently a 27-room accommodation with the addition of swimming pool, poolside rooms, surrounding garden and function room for 80 pax, 40 years after. Eve’s Kiosk became the main hub in Panagsama for friendly strangers that became acquaintances that turned to friendship from different parts of the world. Eve’s Kiosk Dive Resort Tagline
