📢 EVENT HIGHLIGHTS | Lotus Blu Hotel Naga

The PHIVOLCS INFOPRESS on Understanding and Communicating Geologic Hazards Information in Region V was successfully held at Lotus Blu Hotel in Naga.

Organized by Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST), the event brought together media practitioners, representatives from local government, educators, and other key stakeholders. The goal was to deepen everyone’s understanding of geologic hazards and improve communication strategies to support disaster preparedness in Region V.

Through the discussions, participants learned important tips from experts on how to share critical hazard information clearly and effectively with communities—an important step in building safer and more resilient societies.
