Maripipi Insta Trip
(This blog was written to give travelers an idea as regards the cost of solo traveling to Maripipi Island bringing an MC (motorcycle) )
May 8, 2019
9:30 AM
*Arrived @ Naval Port (PPA); enlisted in Viga Express boat; paid P100.00 peso boat fare. Boat crew took details of my MC for recording on a form
*Proceeded to PPA terminal Window 1 and paid for MC form P12.00 (i forgot the exact figure 😊); paper is endorsed to Window 2 and paid P37.00
*As per advice by the guard, I paid P10.00 terminal fee.
*Minutes before 10 AM, I headed my way to the boat and waited for the crew to put my MC on board Viga Express. I settled myself in at the back area of the boat where I am at ease (baho lang ki damo piggies pasahero hehe)
*Before departure cash guard este Coast Guard people conducted inspection of the boat re capacity, loading and etc. One CG asked the OR & CR of my MC. (I advise pagpa fotocopy daan sa OR ug CR sa motor kay mg.ask sila ug copy, maybe part of their SOP)
*A few minutes after, the boat departed on the way to Maripipi Island dubbed as Isla Rosa (dont know why others nicknamed it). I made myself comfortable not minding much of the bad smell of the piggies.
*Around 12 noon perhaps, I arrived at Brgy. , . Before I disembarked, I paid P200.00 to the boat fee collector for the MC fare and labor.
*Later on, I proceeded to Brgy. Ermita to see my niece and had some chit-chats with her family. After, I made my way to Sitio Banog, Brgy. Viga where I stayed for 2 days and 2 nights.
*On same day of May 8, my relatives and some friends had a simple picnic at Candol beach (the beach has long been uncared). Enjoyed having healthy conversations with my friends.
*Then, before the time struck 6 PM, we rode our way from Candol to Brgy. Ermita and later on headed way home.
*I got sick for a day (allergy attack, nanuroy giahak) , but the good thing was I was able to bring with me some meds and my aunt gave me some paracetamol to lessen my headache.
*Night came, I asked my uncle to send for my cousins so we can have a simple bonding moment. Mano Estong and Barry came and we had a drinking session (Shot shot lng ko actually) We had wonderful kumustahan while enjoying the shells that Mano Estong bought.
*It was almost midnight when we bid each other goodbye after we had "killed all the Red Horses". I set my alarm clock at 2:50 AM before I slept the night away.
*Alarm sound awakened me and I hurriedly packed all my things and put everything in one place including the bottle of coconut vinegar that Mano Estong gave me.
*I drank a glass of milk to warm my tummy and had some biscuits ( I usually take light meal or just warm drinks or plain water when I travel). Then, I checked my MC, warmed it up for a few minutes before I head out.
*A moment later, when all was set, I bid goodbye to Uncle Nilo and Ate Ivy (Had no chance to say bye bye to Aunt Edith coz she was still asleep) (I dont really disturb people in their sleep)
*Before I head out, I turned on my JBL Go 2 and put on reggae music on the background then I made my way to Brgy. Binongtoan.
*I arrived at Bungto pier just right in time when headcounts almost hit the 70 capacity limit. Ma.Lourdes crew took MC on board and tied it to safety. Had some little chitchats with the crew (kining prenly lagi ta ba😃), then we all boarded when its about time to depart. (Usually boats in Maripipi depart on time)
*The boat arrived at Naval Port before 6 AM, I alighted right after some passengers had disembarked (stampedeophobic kunuhay pero tan.aw rag my chicks kasakay😂)
*Crew men took Magenta (my MC) out of the boat. Oh same siste, I paid P250.00 for me and my MC. One crew told me "tagae lang na sila pangkape". Seeing that its not just 2 who carried out my MC (mauwaw tag 20 ra ihatag) I gave 50 pesos. "Buhay-buhay is life" baya, but don't know if that's a flat rate labor fee. It was my first time to bring an MC to Maripipi.
*On my way going out of Naval port, the guard stopped me and told me to pay for an "exit" fee at the terminal. Being a law abiding citizen, I obey of course. Then, I headed way home.
