IN MEMORIAM

Today, we gather to honor and celebrate the remarkable life and enduring legacy of our beloved Founder, Ricardo Enad Deiparine †, on what would have been his 68th birthday.

Ricardo was born into modest beginnings on April 3, 1956, in San Fernando, Cebu. He pursued his education with unwavering determination, earning a degree in BS Mechanical Engineering from the University of San Jose Recolletos, and later, a Bachelor of Laws. After gaining valuable experience overseas, he chose to establish roots in Ormoc City, Leyte, where he built a loving family.

In 1990, Ricardo's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish New Oriental Distributor, a venture that would blossom into a network of branches across Ormoc, Palompon, and Sogod, Southern Leyte. His vision extended beyond commerce, encompassing enterprises like Red Oriental Lodging and Resorts, Inc., New Oriental Trading Corporation, Oriental Pension Plaza, Casa Sonia Corazon Dormitories, and more.

Ricardo's indomitable spirit was matched only by his devotion to his family. On February 2, 2024, he departed this world, leaving behind his cherished wife and four children.

As we reflect on Ricardo's life, let us be inspired by his tireless work ethic, selfless sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to serving others. May we strive to emulate his example and uphold his legacy of stewardship and community service for generations to come.
