BUONG METRO MANILA, INILAGAY SA RED ALERT NG AFP SA GITNA NG RALLY NG IGLESIA NI CRISTO

Inilagay sa status red alert ng Armed Forces of the Philippines ang buong Metro Manila sa gitna ng isinasagawang rally ng Iglesia ni Cristo sa Edsa People's Power Monument.

Ayon sa AFP, normal lamang nila itong aksyon upang makapaghanda ang mga kasundaluhan sa mga posibleng mangyari sa Metro Manila.

"This standard measure keeps AFP personnel and assets prepared to support civil authorities, when requested, in accordance with the constitution, existing laws, and established procedures," ayon sa AFP.

Sinigurado naman ng AFP na wala silang pinapanigan kundi ang kanilang mandato lamang na protektahan ang mga Pilipino.

"The AFP remains a professional, non-partisan institution committed to upholding the rule of law, respecting human rights, and protecting the rights of all Filipinos while fulfilling its mandate to safeguard the nation," aniya.
