Meet the heart behind Agua Seda. 💙
Before she became an accommodation owner, she was a passionate Public School Teacher. When she turned 60, she hesitated to retire and kept asking herself, "Ano na ang gagawin ko?"
God answered her in the most unexpected way.
A co-teacher invited her for a picnic at Blue Lagoon. She instantly fell in love with the place. The very next day, she came back and asked if she could buy a portion of it.
As a widow, she didn't have much—only lakas ng loob, diskarte, and faith. She borrowed money to buy the property, waited for her retirement benefits, and little by little, started building what is now Agua Seda. Noon, siya mismo ang sumasalubong sa guests, nag-aasikaso ng mga rooms, at nakikipagkwentuhan sa bawat bisita. She simply loves meeting people and making new friends.
Retirement became one of the busiest seasons of her life—but also the most fulfilling.
Today, at 80 years old, she rarely visits the resort. But on her recent visit, walk in guests were blessed to sit with her again, listening to her stories that never fail to inspire. Our walk-in guests were also lucky enough to meet the Agua Seda Queen herself. 🩵
