🚨 URGENT UPDATE: My Property Vandalized and Falsely Reviewed by Airbnb Guests 🚨
Dear Friends, Fellow Hosts, and the Airbnb Community,
I am sharing another update about my ongoing case with Airbnb involving guests who vandalized my property and then attempted to defame my listing with a false, malicious review. My goal is to raise awareness among hosts and push for better accountability from Airbnb for protecting its hosting community.
📌 The Incident:
Between December 27, 2024, and January 25, 2025, my property, Mi Casa Es Su Casa in Pasay City, was severely vandalized by guest Filip Poutineau. Upon checkout, the unit was left in an uninhabitable state, with:
• Broken walls, damaged furniture, and fixtures.
• Trash and stolen items.
• An estimated cost of over $25,000 for replacements, as certified by professional contractors.
In addition to this destruction, another guest left a fake, malicious review filled with lies, attempting to tarnish my reputation. Claims about “holes in the walls, bugs, duct tape, and scams” were fabricated to harm my listing’s reputation further.

1. Police Reports and Security Documentation: Official police and building reports clearly detail the vandalism and corroborate my claims.
2. Photos & Videos: Visual documentation of the damage before and after the guest’s stay.
3. Guest Communication: Screenshots show the guest’s lack of accountability and Airbnb’s slow response.
4. Review Removal: Airbnb recognized the false review as a violation of their policy and removed it, acknowledging it was not truthful.

đź’ˇ My Experience With Airbnb AirCover:
Despite providing extensive documentation, including police and security reports, Airbnb has delayed resolving my claim for over 20 days. AirCover, which is supposed to protect hosts, has left me frustrated and uncertain about when or if this situation will be resolved.

1. To Airbnb: Expedite my case and honor your AirCover promise to protect hosts like me from vandalism, fraud, and reputational damage.
2. To Fellow Hosts: Be cautious of guests who attempt to exploit Airbnb policies or retaliate with false reviews. Always document your property thoroughly.
3. To My Community: Please share this post to bring attention to this serious issue and prevent similar incidents from happening to others.
This situation has been one of the most stressful moments in my 2+ years as a host. While I take pride in maintaining a 5-star property and providing exceptional guest experiences, I believe Airbnb must step up and take responsibility for supporting its hosts in times of crisis.
