Not every bag of coffee is created equal. The Specialty Coffee Association scores beans on a 100-point scale — and only those that hit 80 or above earn the "specialty" label. Below that, it's just commercial-grade coffee for everyday use.

But the score isn't pulled from thin air. A certified Q Grader evaluates fragrance, flavor, acidity, body, uniformity, and overall impression — a trained palate breaking down every layer of the cup.

The difference shows up long before it's in your mug: single origins vs. bulk bags, known farms vs. mixed origins, full traceability vs. minimal sorting. That's what separates a complex, memorable cup from an inconsistent one.
