Qualifications:

At least 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel, upscale restaurant, or hospitality establishment

Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, bar operations, and guest relations

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

With experience in coaching, mentoring, and training service staff

Knowledgeable in proper table service, bar service, beverage preparation, and service etiquette

Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to handle guest concerns professionally

Able to lead a team and maintain high standards of cleanliness, grooming, and service

Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays

Maranaw: A Celebration — When Filipino Heritage Took Center Stage
There are photographs that capture a moment, and there are photographs that capture an era.

Standing quietly behind the luminous figure in this photograph is Aristeo J. Demavivas, now the General Manager of Iloilo Gateway Hotel and Suites—but once, in another chapter of an extraordinary journey, one of the visionary hands behind a production that carried the soul of the Philippines to some of the world’s most distinguished stages.

As Executive Producer of Maranaw: A Celebration, Aristeo J. Demavivas helped bring together a constellation of Filipino artistry: the legendary Ben Farrales, Asia’s Dean of Fashion; Philippine international beauties and models; the magnificent Darangan Dance Company of Mindanao State University; and the UP Filipiniana Dance Company.

What emerged was not merely a show.

It was heritage transformed into poetry.

It was the Maranao soul rendered in movement, color, music, pageantry, and grace—an incandescent tapestry of a people’s history and imagination, carried from the islands of the Philippines across the seas and into the grand theatres of the world.

From the distinguished Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall, to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Scottish Rite, Jubilee Auditorium, Chevrolet Theatre, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami Auditorium, Maranaw: A Celebration unfurled the splendor of Filipino culture before international audiences.

And the response was nothing short of extraordinary.

A standing ovation.

Not simply applause for a performance, but a reverberation of recognition—for the beauty of a culture, the brilliance of its artists, and the audacity of Filipinos who dared to bring their heritage onto the world stage.

The production was so warmly received that it was requested for a repeat performance the following year—a rare and beautiful affirmation that genuine artistry transcends geography, language, and time.

On September 12, 2026, the Pambansang Samahan ng Inhenyero Mekanikal, Inc. (PSIM) – Iloilo Chapter gathered its members at Iloilo Gateway Hotel and Suites, Brgy. Maliao, Pavia, Iloilo, for the 5th PSIM Iloilo Annual General Membership Meeting, carrying a theme that speaks not merely of leadership, but of the kind of leadership that leaves a lasting imprint:

“PSIM: Leadership with Integrity and Stability Geared Towards Membership Welfare Development, Professional Growth, and Motivation for Global Competence.”

Captured in this frame are General Nicolas Deloso Torre III and Aris J. Demavivas, General Manager of Iloilo Gateway Hotel and Suites- two men whose paths, though shaped by different professions and distinct chapters of public service, converge in a place much older and more enduring than titles or accomplishments: Dumangas, Iloilo.

The connection is beautifully written in fate. General Torre traces his roots to a profound clan in the Municipality of Dumangas- the Delloso Clan. Likewise, the father of Aristeo J. Demavivas traces his roots to Dumangas. Thus, behind this seemingly simple encounter lies a deeper story—the meeting of two sons of the same soil, carrying in their own ways the memory, character, and quiet strength of a community that helped shape them.

General Torre's leadership eventually carried him to the pinnacle of the Philippine police service. On June 2, 2025, Torre assumed command as the 31st Chief of the Philippine National Police, becoming the first PNPA graduate to hold the country's highest police post. During his brief but consequential tenure, he championed a vision centered on swift public service, unity within the ranks, accountability, and modernization. Among his signature reforms was the three-minute police response initiative, which he had first implemented while serving as QCPD director and sought to institutionalize nationwide.

Yet for all the stars on his shoulders, the offices he has occupied, and the extraordinary events that have marked his career, perhaps there is something wonderfully grounding about this photograph: two men standing together not merely because of position or circumstance, but because somewhere in their family histories runs the same river back to Dumangas.

The Live Entertainment Audition welcomed two remarkable acts. Mr. Ariel Roger Aranao, a soulful solo artist whose performance carried the intimate beauty of a heartfelt serenade, and Himawari, a vibrant trio whose harmonious presence brought a refreshing glow and spirited energy to the evening.

As the final notes gently faded into the night, what remained was the unmistakable promise of artistry yet to unfold. Indeed, tonight’s gathering was a lovely reminder that behind every song is a story, behind every performance is a dream, and behind every gifted artist is a world waiting to be heard.
