For the occasion, The White Lily went bright and tropical: bold pinks, oranges and yellows, hibiscus flowers, palm trees, a fun tiki bar, and one long, beautifully dressed table where everyone could sit together, eat, talk, and simply enjoy being family. 🌺🍹
But behind all the color was a story that made this birthday especially meaningful.
Matthew’s family spoke about his journey through sickness and recovery, and listening to them made it clear that turning 50 meant much more than adding another year. It was a celebration of life, of getting better, and of having the people he loves gathered around him again.
And perhaps that was the loveliest part of the day. Matthew, the patriarch of the family, had everyone together — and they truly made the most of it. They played, joked, laughed their hearts out, and had such a genuinely good time that the happiness was impossible to miss.

Emerson’s first birthday was made even more meaningful with his dedication—a day to celebrate his first year and entrust the little life ahead of him to God.
For his Ferrari-themed celebration, we filled the garden with racing details in Ferrari red, black, white and gold. The backdrop featured a winding racetrack, traffic lights, checkered balloons, trophies and Formula 1 cars, all framed by lavish clusters of balloons. Beside it, the clear blue pool looked especially inviting under the bright afternoon sky.
We carried the theme through every table, dressing them generously in rich red and gold, with black napkins, gold chargers, crystal accents, tall candleholders and arrangements of red and white roses. Even the buffet table had its own grand presentation, with gleaming gold chafing dishes, florals and full skirting—beautifully prepared for the generous spread of food waiting for Emerson’s family and guests.
What touched us most was knowing that the family had travelled all the way from Sara—more than two hours to Pavia—to celebrate with us. Emerson’s mommy and lola were so happy that they promised to return and recommend The White Lily to their friends. We also had the pleasure of meeting the pastor’s wife, whose warm and lovely personality matched Emerson’s mommy so well.
Thank you for making the long trip and choosing The White Lily for such an important day in Emerson’s life. May he grow under God’s loving guidance, surrounded by the same faith and devotion that brought everyone together for his dedication.

A Sweet 16 should show everyone who the celebrant truly is—and for Ella, that meant music, singing and her very own concert-style birthday.

Her Coachella-inspired party began with a special entrance as she sang a Laufey song. Everyone clapped, cheered and sang along with her, giving Ella the feeling of stepping onto the stage at her own concert. Her talented friends became part of the program too—one played the violin, while another joined Ella for a beautiful duet. Even the games were chosen to fit the music-festival theme, keeping the energy fun from beginning to end.

The White Lily garden was transformed into CoachElla, a colorful Sweet Sixteen Music Festival filled with bright balloons, flowers, disco balls, oversized records, stage lights and festival-inspired details—all created around something Ella truly loves.

Before the celebration ended, Ella gave a touching speech thanking the family, relatives, friends and everyone behind her party for giving her the chance to experience singing at her very own concert-themed celebration. Hearing our guests tell us how much they enjoyed the party—and that they were already looking forward to Ella’s birthday again next year—made the evening even more rewarding.

There are couples who simply choose a wedding theme. And then there are couples like Dave and Sharen, who pour so much of themselves into every little decision because they want the day to feel like them.

Sharen was one of those brides. She knew exactly what she wanted, from the soft sage green palette down to the smallest touches. She noticed everything—not because she was difficult to please, but because she wanted to look back years from now and know that this day reflected the beginning of their marriage.

So we listened.

Soft sage drapes framed the couple's stage beneath warm chandeliers and cascading white florals. Long reception tables stretched through the garden under a canopy of hanging blooms, dressed with sage linens, gold accents, and fresh arrangements in ivory, champagne, blush, and greenery. The ceremony arch welcomed family and friends into a setting that felt calm and inviting, while every corner blended naturally with the gardens and quiet beauty of The White Lily.

The greatest compliment, however, wasn't about the flowers or the styling.

It came the morning after, when Sharen sent us a message filled with gratitude. She shared how peaceful their wedding day felt, how the décor had exceeded even the groom's expectations, how their guests kept talking about the food, and how Sir Joemel, our host, kept everyone smiling with his warmth, humor, and genuine hospitality. She told us that their family and friends loved being around him because he made everyone feel welcome from the moment the celebration began. She even shared that Dave kept telling her over and over how beautiful everything looked—that it was exactly the wedding he had hoped for. Reading those words reminded us why we do what we do.

Because when a bride spends months thinking about every little detail, what she hopes for isn't perfection. She hopes she can finally let go, be fully present, and simply marry the person she loves. Knowing that Dave and Sharen were able to do just that is something we'll always be grateful for.
