No more brownouts!?

Casa Almei has just installed a grid-busting 7kW solar system that has been in the works for the last year. Hopefully, this will eliminate the brownouts and huge daily voltage fluctuations experienced over many years. From concept to construction and installation, this was a difficult but, interesting challenge. It all came together with an initial design layout by Chris Ryon, construction by Dante Merca and installation by Mark Spencer. All parties contributed to the project to bring it to fruition and hopefully to withstand typhoon conditions. All we need now is cooperation from the sun!

This token was found by one of the staff at Panlatuan and is evidence that the shipyards workers were paid in tokens, as the history tells us. For further reading on the history associate with the shipyard, here are a few references:

The Pilar Tourism Center- LGU Pilar (Facebook) has recently published a video that features Casa almei Beach Resort, filmed by Rodel Saquesa.

This drone video gives a good bird's eye view of the property.

It is a very high definition video and is well done. Unfortunately, it was filmed at low low tide and the water has receded from the beach. It does however, show that there is a large shallow area to swim in at high tide, 3 to 4 feet deep, which is great for wading and safe for the kids.
