Pabasa ng Pasyon( Chanting of the Passion) . An uninterrupted singing or reading of the passion - A 16th century epic poem narrating the life and death of Jesus. A devotion lasting for 24 hrs. or more during the Holy Week. A very vibrant practice to Filipino Catholic life. Unfortunately , the practice is fading away. We at the Gregoreous by the Sea are keeping this practice every year for the past 5 years , since 2022 . ( photos credit to Boboy TY) Hoping that young generation will learn and keep this tradition. Gregoreous by the Sea is proud to announce that its 2 newly built Teepee Houses are now available for booking starting today, October 9, 2025. They will be called TP1 (on the left side) and TP2 (on the right side).

These TP houses are designed to accommodate the short hours need of our growing guests and customers. One can expect the usual neat, cozy, and pristine rooms for a couple customary to Gregoreous. They come with comfortable twin size bed with 6” mattress complemented with quality beddings, chaise lounge, dinette table with two stools, built in mini flippant counter top, optional 1HP airconditioner. and/or standard ceiling fan, front porch with coffee counter and chair for view of the entire resort and the ocean, and many other surprising amenities that Gregoreous routinely offers.

Come one come all, check in anytime check out anytime, minimum of 4 hours stay for your short rest.. Gregoreous is ready to serve you.

Gregoreous by Sea, being a Catholic devotee itself, has continued to fulfill for 4 consecutive years now, its devotion to celebrate the Philippine tradition of “Pabasa” during the holy week period of the year. Pabasa is the uninterrupted chanting of the epic poem narrating the life, passion, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. This Catholic tradition can be traced back to 16th century during the advent of Spanish colonization of the Philippines. Gregoreous started this annual affection since 2022, a year after when Gregoreous was opened for business. For this year, the chanting started at 9:30 AM Wednesday April 16, 2025 and ended up 2:30 AM the following day. Over 17 hours of uninterrupted chant.. Praise to the Lord Jesus Christ!!

After two weeks of soft opening and completing the finishing touches to its newest Bunker House Room, Gregoreous by the Sea is now officially launching its so far, the most spacious family room to be called “Room Dr. JAY”. The room is named after the owners’ only son, the late Dr. Jose Victor Baldonado Vergara.

The room has a queen size bed in it with 2 side tables and lampshades, two large bunker beds, and enough space to place two or more additional mattresses or beds. Room Dr. Jay contains the lavish amenities typical to Gregoreous that can provide the best value for money to its customers and guests. This room is designed to accommodate comfortably a large group of 8-12 persons or more, depending upon their size and body frame. It is provided with highly efficient 1.5hp airconditioner, full size refrigerator, vanity mirror, closet with hangers, 32” Smart TV, high speed room internet, dining table, and a kitchen with stove and gasul without kitchen wares. Its toilet and bath have a hot and cold shower too complete with toilet paper, bar soap, and bath towel for everyone. A complimentary mineral water and 3n1 coffee are also available in the room.

As a Bunker House, the room is a basement liked type and is 25% below the ground. As such, the guests can expect, serene and quiet sleep with cooler temperature, with or without the use of aircon. By the way, the room is situated inside the compound of Gregoreous and, as an added bonus, it has a direct access to the beach just a few steps away 🙂
