Did you know? The Baragatan Festival is Palawan’s grandest celebration of culture, unity, and local pride! It brings together all 23 municipalities and the City of Puerto Princesa in one colorful showcase of heritage, creativity, and community spirit.

🚛 The Float Parade is one of the festival’s biggest highlights! Each float is designed to reflect the local identity and strengths of the town it represents — from agriculture and crafts to tourism and culture.

📅 When is it held?
Baragatan usually takes place throughout the month of June, with major events like the Float Parade, street dancing, LGU booths, trade fairs, and concerts happening mid- to late-June.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: Temporary Closure of Puerto Princesa Underground River

Heads up, future travelers! 🌿🏞️

The Puerto Princesa Underground River will be temporarily closed from July 1–3, 2025 as part of conservation efforts and staff development by the PPSRNP – Protected Area Management Office.

This is to help preserve the site's ecological integrity and maintain its Outstanding Universal Value 🌍💚

If you have a planned tour on those dates, please coordinate with your travel providers for adjustments.

✅ Prima Tip: Book your tours before or after the said dates to make the most of your Palawan experience!

#𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 || As part of the conservation efforts of the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park - Protected Area Management Office, in order to maintain its Ecological Integrity and Outstanding Universal Value, the National Park will be 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 on 𝟏-𝟑 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

Also, this is to give way for the maintenance of Park Facilities as well as Staff Development Programs of the PPSRNP.
