The Pale Spiderhunter (Arachnothera dilutior) is one of Atremaru's most familiar feathered residents and a species endemic to Palawan. 💚 Although found nowhere else in the world, this remarkable bird is a regular sight here and can be seen almost every day.

With its long, gently curved bill, the Pale Spiderhunter is perfectly adapted for feeding on nectar from forest flowers, while also searching for insects and spiders among the foliage. Its constant movement between trees makes it a delight to watch for both birders and photographers.

Seeing this Palawan endemic so regularly is a wonderful reminder of the rich biodiversity that thrives in Atremaru's forests.

One of Atremaru's most elusive residents, the Red-headed Flameback (Chrysocolaptes erythrocephalus), is a spectacular woodpecker endemic to Palawan. ❤️🪵 Spotting one in the wild is a truly special experience.

This species is surprisingly quiet and can be incredibly difficult to find. When we noticed a bird flying through the forest, we almost assumed it was just another common species. Fortunately, we decided to follow it—and to our delight, we found this magnificent flameback busily pecking at a tree.

Sometimes, the rarest encounters happen when you choose not to look away. Moments like these are what make birdwatching in Atremaru so rewarding.

Puerto Princesa City is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, and we were fortunate enough to encounter this beautiful sea turtle during our visit to Marta Fe Beach.

One of the best rewards after completing the Marta Fe Beach Hike is arriving at this secluded stretch of coastline. From the scenic forest trail to the crystal-clear waters, every step of the journey is worth it.

✨🌿 Perched quietly on a slender branch, the Palawan Sunbird (Cinnyris aurora) is a striking reminder of the beauty found only in the forests of Palawan. With its brilliant iridescent plumage, this island endemic is one of the region's most captivating birds, often seen darting between flowers in search of nectar and small insects. 🐦💚

We are fortunate to see these beautiful birds almost every day. They visit freely because they feel safe here, we do not harm or disturb them. 🤎 Their regular presence reminds us that when wildlife is respected and habitats are protected, nature responds with trust. 🌱
