First little victory against the sea ;)

Our seawall did resist against the tidal surge of last typhoon. The first surge of this intensity in 2 years.

Super typhoon Goring (international name Saola, 200 km/h sustained winds) was closest to Mindoro 3 days ago (center less than 500 km from Sablayan). Now on the way to Southern China.

Small damages (a few sandbags from the upper layer opened), and some waves did submerge the wall at high tide, flooding the property...
But this time, the seawall structure (sandbags wrapped in fishing nets, tied to a frame of linked wooden posts) did resist :)

Needs small repairs, plus reinforcement (wider, thicker, higher) as soon as we get the money.
But it looks like we have a protection against coastal erosion now :)
