PIDLISAN VILLAGE WINS SECOND PLACE IN THE 2022 SEARCH OF BEST TOURISM VILLAGE-CAR

Sagada. In the just concluded awarding ceremony for the Search for Best Tourism Village 2022 of the Department of Tourism - Cordillera Administrative Region (DOT-CAR) today, February 8, 2023 at Baguio Country Club, Baguio City, Sagada's PIDLISAN VILLAGE snatched the 2nd Place Award winning a certificate, a trophy, a token and Php 500,000.00.

FACT: The Search for Best Tourism Village is a program of the Department of Tourism (DOT) which aims to recognize the vital role of tourism villages towards sustainable, responsible, equitable and participatory rural tourism development and to provide the local communities and the indigenous peoples a platform to hone their creativity and excellence in community-based tourism.

PIDLISAN Village is composed of Barangays Fidelisan, Aguid, Bangaan, and Pide, Sagada, Mountain Province. Said cash prize is intended to fund the improvement of tourism activities in the village.

Schedule of Paytokan Tours Suspension:
1. MORNING of November 18 (since Burial is at 10AM);
2. AFTERNOON of November 19(since Burial is at 1PM); and
3. AFTERNOON of November 21(since Burial is at 1PM).

Schedule of Tours on affected Dates:
1. Tours will resume1PM of November 18;
2. Tours are allowed morning of November 19 until 12NN; and,
3. Tours are allowed morning of November 21 until 12NN.

This is to give respect to the conduct of Burial at the Public Cemetery on the dates herein identified, and in adherence to the prevailing ordinance relative to it.

Section 2.A.2. of Municipal Ordinance No. 07 s, 2019 on the prohibition of tourist entry in Eco Valley during "leben"/burial.
